Jerusalem In My Heart & Lucrecia Dalt // CANCELLED
EVENT CANCELLED
In light of recent developments in the spread of the COVID-19 virus, this event is cancelled.
Jerusalem In My Heart is a live audio-visual performance project, with Montréal-based producer and musician Radwan Ghazi Moumneh and Montréal-based filmmaker Charles-André Coderre as its core. Their performances consist of always freshly composed and improvised sounds and visuals. Lucretia Dalt’s work revolves around the repositioning of fiction, time, perception scale, repetition, vocoding and sound dynamics.
Jerusalem In My Heart
Jerusalem In My Heart is primarily a personal expression, one that wraps up notions of identity, perception, geopolitics and the conflicts that arise, both internal and external, when you are an arab living, working and creating art in the west. Radwan Gahzi Moumneh co-owns the legendary Hotel2Tango studio in Montréal, where he also works as an in-house producer and engineer. Charles-André Coderre devotes his time to analogue cinema, having realized various short films and being a member of the Double Négatif collective. Jerusalem Is In My Heart defines itself as making new Arabic music. They release their music on Montréal label Constellation Records.

Lucrecia Dalt Lucretia Dalt hails from Colombia but now lives in Berlin. Her work encompasses the dual worlds of avant-garde and electronic music, drawing in influences from her background as a civil engineer as well as musics and philosophies from across the world. In her music, Dalt illustrates a philosophical metaphor about existence by creating a complex and haunting narrative, embodying many artistic disciplines with the thought and contextual detail that goes into her work. Deeply framed messages are linked to abstract music, to sound design, and to poetic and haunting vocals.
