A New Word – A New World
Let’s invent a new word, or rather, re-function an old word into a new one.
The word in question is ‘obsolete.’ Let’s turn it into a verb, into a mode of action, a processual dynamics.
‘To obsolete’ then would mean not only to make forget, to delete, but to erase the very conditions that made it come this far
To once and for all upset and erase not only the breading ground, but the very need for this pain …
Fire in the Arcades!
Obsolete the Myths of Violence
Obsolete the Violence of Myths
Obsolete Capitalism
Obsolete the fascist Carrot-Colored Clown
they once called the POTUS
Obsolete the New World Order
Obsolete Fascism
Obsolete Racism
But not only obsolete – at the same time celebrate …
Celebrate the voices and the rights “of them the others are down upon,
Of the deform’d, trivial, flat, foolish, despised,
Fog in the air, beetles rolling balls of dung” (Whitman)
Celebrate diversity
Celebrate the multiflavoredness of life
Center become Perry-phery, Parry-phery become Center,
so that the very idea of center becomes meaningless
everything is connected, yet everything points at disconnection
Scratch the Sourface – Reed this:
I want freedom, the right to self-expression, everybody’s right to beautiful, radiant things. If I can’t dance to it,
it’s not my revolution. [The Gold(mann) Standard]
Obsolete and Celebrate Turn into One Fluid Gesture …
